Federal guidelines require containment of liquids pumped and recylcled in drilling operations.  Oil field liners are one of options used for containment of those liquids during gas and oil drilling operations.  The process involves digging two large pits and lining them with PE liners.  One ponds acts as the primary containment area and most of the rock and grindings settle out there.  The liquids flow over a spill between the two pits resulting in a secondary pond that contains mostly liquids that are recylcled in the drilling process.
